What to Expect During Your Cake Smash Session

Cake smash sessions are all about celebrating your little one’s first birthday and capturing their personality along the way!
We start with some lovely clean portraits first, capturing those sweet smiles, little expressions and birthday outfits before the cake makes an appearance.
Then it’s time for the fun part! I’ll bring out the cake and let your little one explore, squish, taste and make as much mess as they like. Some babies dive straight in, while others take their time getting to know this strange new thing in front of them. Either way, it’s all part of the fun!
Once we’ve captured all those adorable messy moments, I’ll gently clean your little one up before they head home.

And don’t worry if you’d prefer not to have a cake! Your session can still be full of beautiful birthday portraits without one. The most important thing is capturing your little one’s personality and celebrating this special milestone in a way that feels right for you.

Your Cake, Your Choice

You’re welcome to bring your own cake for your little one’s session, or if you’d prefer, I can provide one for an additional £20.
If you’d rather skip the cake altogether, that’s absolutely fine too! We’ll focus on capturing beautiful birthday portraits and your little one’s personality.
