How I Discovered My Passion for Newborn Photography

My journey into photography began during the Covid lockdown of 2020. With extra time on my hands, I found my son’s old camera and decided to learn how to use it, taking an online photography course. At first, I started with simple shots—taking pictures of the birds in the garden—and soon discovered how much I loved it. To improve, I practiced consistently, and seven months later, I invested in my first camera upgrade. That’s when my passion for photography really took off.

Spending time outdoors, capturing the beauty of nature, from tiny mice to majestic eagles and stunning sunrises, amazed me. Two years later, when I found out I was going to be a grandparent, I thought it would be wonderful to do my granddaughter’s newborn photoshoot. I took a dive into learning studio photography techniques, focusing on lighting, camera settings, props, and backdrops. I completed various online courses to master newborn posing and safety.
